Keighley Cougars are delighted to welcome Ryan Jackson as our new Assistant Coach, joining Head Coach Matty Bramald ahead of the 2027 season!

Ryan brings valuable coaching experience from his time with Hunslet and, most recently, Rochdale Hornets. Having been part of the coaching team that helped Hunslet secure promotion, he knows what goes into preparing a squad for the challenges of a competitive season.

He now joins Matty at Cougar Park as preparations gather pace, with a reshaped squad and plenty to look forward to when pre-season gets underway.

Head Coach Matty Bramald:

“I’m really pleased to welcome Ryan to the coaching team. His experience will be valuable as we bring this group together and get to work on the training field.

“Having a strong coaching partnership is important, and I’m looking forward to working with Ryan to help our players develop and get the best out of the squad.”

Richard Dibbin:

“Getting the right people around Matty has been an important part of our preparations, and we’re delighted Ryan is coming on board.

“There’s been plenty happening behind the scenes, and bringing Ryan into the coaching team is another positive step. We’re excited to see everyone come together and start putting the work in for 2027.”

Welcome to Cougar Park, Ryan.

We would also like to thank Danny Burton for his hard work, commitment and contribution to Keighley Cougars. His efforts have been greatly appreciated by everyone at the club, and we wish him all the very best.
