We’re delighted to confirm that Leo Skerrett-Evans has committed to Keighley Cougars for the 2027 season!
Having joined the club in 2026, Leo will continue his development at Cougar Park as part of the squad Matt Bramald is building for the new campaign.
With experience in the Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers development systems, alongside representing Jamaica, Leo brings an exciting background and plenty of ambition as he takes his next steps in the professional game.
For Leo, staying at Keighley means the opportunity to build on his first season, learn alongside experienced teammates and compete for regular first-team rugby. And we’re delighted he’s chosen to continue that journey with us.
Head Coach Matt Bramald:
“I’m really pleased Leo is staying with us. There’s plenty of development ahead of him, and I’m looking forward to working with him in pre-season. We want to give him the support and opportunity to keep improving, build his confidence and push for his place in the team.”
Richard Dibbin, Rugby Operations:
“Leo made it clear during our conversations that he wanted to stay at Keighley, which was really pleasing to hear. He spoke about how much he’d enjoyed being here and the opportunity to develop around the experienced lads. I’m delighted we’ve been able to get things agreed and keep him as part of what we’re building.”
Another Cougar committed. Another player ready for the next chapter.
Let’s get behind Leo Skerrett-Evans for 2027!
