Cougars full back Lewis Young has been ruled out for at least 10 weeks after being told he needs ankle surgery.
The ever present full back will be sidelined for around 10 weeks after sustaining the injury in Keighley’s last match at Whitehaven 5 days ago.
Cougars coach Rhys Lovegrove said: ‘He’s been to see the specialist this week and will need surgery. Any loss to a squad of our size is massive and Lewis has done well because he has featured in every game so far this season and you can see he’s grown in confidence and is growing within our systems.’
