KEIGHLEY Cougars have today loaned out the pair of Josh Slingsby and Keenan Dyer-Dixon.

Both Josh and Keenan have signed two-week loan deals with our fellow Betfred League 1 club, the West Wales Raiders.

Slingsby, a winger, joined the Cougars following a successful trial ahead of last season and has to date scored 7 tries in 10 appearances for the club but has only featured this year in March’s friendly against Oldham, a game in which he scored.

Dyer-Dixon, who can play on the wing or at full-back, arrived at Cougar Park earlier this year following a successful month’s trial.

He has yet to debut for the club but did also feature in that friendly loss to Oldham back in early March.

Head of Rugby Andrew Henderson said: “This is a great opportunity for both Josh and Keenan to get some much needed game time and showcase their talents in this competition.

“We have a good partnership with Bradford Bulls in supporting their reserve grade but the fixtures are not played every week and they can’t accommodate every player we have available to play.

“So we felt it was important to source some alternative playing options for our boys.

“I would like to say a big thanks to West Wales Raiders Head Coach Ash Bateman for giving our players the chance to play for his team.

“We hope both Josh and Keenan will represent our club well and add some value to the Raiders during their time there.”

Both players have joined the Raiders with immediate effect as of today (Wednesday 20th April) and are expected to debut in their fixture at home to Doncaster on Saturday.
