KEIGHLEY Cougars have today agreed to release both Rory Nettleton and Myles Tate from the remainder of their contracts with the club.
Over the past fortnight, both players have requested their releases with Head of Rugby Andrew Henderson agreeing to their requests.
Nettleton departs the club due to a combination of work commitments and travel time to and from the club from his home in Newcastle.
The prop forward joined the Cougars from Jarrow Vikings following a successful trial period during pre-season.
He would go on to make just one appearance for the club during his time at Cougar Park, in March’s away victory against Oldham.
Tate leaves Keighley to pursue interest from elsewhere.
The prop forward arrived in pre-season from the Warrington Wolves but missed a large part of pre-season due to medical reasons.
After being cleared to return to training, he would play for Oulton Raiders on community dual registration before having a loan spell with the West Wales Raiders.
The club would like to thank both Rory and Myles for their services during their time at Cougar Park and wish both the best in all their future endeavours.
It’s good that they gan get game time elsewhere. Thanks for your service and good luck in your future careers.
