Former Keighley player Rod Raines sadly passed away recently at the age of 92. He signed for Keighley from Wigan in 1952, and over the following 4 years made 126 appearances playing either prop or loose forward.

After his time at Keighley he returned to his home town of Leigh where he was a founder member of the Leigh Miners Rangers. He maintained his passion for Rugby League right to the end.

As a club we’d like to take this opportunity to pass on our condolences to Rod’s family and ask you to join a minutes applause before today’s kick off.
