We are delighted to announce Lewis Young has signed an upgraded contract and reaffirmed his commitment to the Cougars to the end of the 2024 season.
The full-back, who joined from Championship outfit Newcastle Thunder, has enjoyed a blistering start to life in the red and green.
Lewis has spoken of his happiness at the club, how he settled quickly in 2022 and outlined his goals for 2023.
“When I was offered the upgraded terms to my contract I had no hesitation in re-signing and confirming my commitment to Keighley Cougars. It’s been amazing to play in the Betfred Championship again and with the group of boys we have now, I feel we are building something special.”
Rhys Lovegrove commented on the improved deal
“Lewis has transitioned really well from League 1 to Championship and has been rewarded accordingly for that transition, and the manner in which he has handled himself in pre-season and the early League games”.
