Keighley Cougars made it two wins on the spin as debutant Lloyd Mcewan-Peters scored four to steal the show as the side won 72-12 against Newcastle Thunder.
Keighley raced out of the blocks with Junior Nuu opening the scoring after keeping the ball alive in the corner.
Mcewan-Peters made his debut after signing from Leeds Rhinos in the week and scored a try after a flowing move from the Cougars.
Cougars scored their third try in the first quarter of the match after a neat kick from Oscar Thomas into the in-goal area was pounced on by Jordan Schofield.
Newcastle Thunder hit back after a Cougars error from the restart gave Newcastle a full set where Nathan Rushworth opened Thunder’s account for the match.
Mcewan-Peters doubled his tally for the afternoon after a looping ball from Ben Dean found the winger in space to score.
Newcastle made an error just before the break which Thomas capitalized on to score and give Keighley a 28-6 lead at half-time.
Adam Ryder got into the act after the interval when Thomas’s short ball found the centre in space to score.
The hosts then put a lovely flowing move on which Billy Walkley finished off in the corner to extend the score to 38-6.
George Flanagan darted out of dummy half to score and keep Keighley on a roll heading into the final 20 minutes.
Mcewan-Peters scored his hat-trick as the Cougars pushed the ball around, which found the debutant to score an eye-catching try.
A fantastic bit of link up play between Brandon Pickersgill and Thomas helped the Cougars score again and pile more misery on the visitors.
Debutant Mcewan-Peters rounded off a wonderful personal performance for himself when he found himself in space on the right wing and had the wherewith-all to chip through and chase his own kick to score his fourth try of the game.
Jake Webster’s side won a penalty and Nuu grabbed a brace for himself early in the set to make it 72-6 to Keighley.
Newcastle rounded off the scoring though as Alex Donaghy made the most of an error from Keighley, who by this point had been given a license to play some off the cuff rugby league.
Attentions will now turn to North Wales Crusaders for Keighley Cougars next Sunday as the side will look to make three wins on the bounce, the match will now take place at Chester RUFC. Newcastle Thunder next match will be against table topping Oldham at Boundary Park.
