Derby day again comes to Cougar Park as we welcome Bradford Bulls for our final group stage game in the 1895 cup. It’s winner takes all from this game to decide who wins the group and progresses to the next rounds. Bulls will be looking to build on a strong preseason and early cup campaign with a string of good results capped off by dominant displays against Dewsbury Rams and North Wales Crusaders.

Coming into this game as underdogs, Cougars will be hoping to stir up memories of spring 2023 however, taking the spoils in our Championship clash in March. Cougars are showing signs of gathering momentum after cup victories against Dewsbury and Hunslet and will look to spoil Bulls party early in the season for the second year running.

Last time the teams met

A depleted Cougars squad travelled to Odsal in July 2023 on a day that would undoubtedly be looked back on as a low point of that season. New Bulls signing Jorge Taufua ran in 3 tries against a young Cougars side who were physically outmatched all day and ended up on the wrong side of a heavy scoreline.
