The Tigers make the relatively short trip to Keighley to face the Cougars in Jake Webster’s Farewell fixture. The game will take place on Sunday 14th January, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm.

Earlier this year, the Tigers were set to take on the Cougars in what would have been the former Cas man’s testimonial but due to adverse weather conditions, the game was postponed. Fast forward to now, and with the Cougars now in League 1, Cas will travel to Cougar Park in their first game of 2024.

Honouring a Tigers legend, Jake Webster is a much-loved former Castleford man after joining the club in 2013 he went on to make the centre spot his own and play his part in getting the Tigers to both the Challenge Cup Final in 2014 and Grand Final in 2017, as well as securing the League Leaders’ Shield in that memorable year.

Since moving on from Wheldon Road at the end of 2018, Jake joined Bradford Bulls for the 2019 season, helping them secure a famous win over Leeds Rhinos in the Challenge Cup, and then linking up with Keighley Cougars where he has been a fantastic servant over the years as a player, assistant coach and now Director of Rugby.

Jake officially hangs up the boots after this game.
