Keighley Cougars are delighted to announce the arrival of Ben Blackmore on a deal to the end of the 2024 season.
Ben was recently released from his contract with Bradford Bulls due to a clash of his work schedule, however Cougars training schedule has less of an impact on Ben’s work life and we are able to accommodate him and secure his signature for the remainder of this season.
Standing at 6’1 and weighing in at 17 stone and with close to 200 professional career appearances for teams such as Castleford, Huddersfield, Featherstone and Sheffield to name a few, Ben goes straight into contention for selection this weekend against Midlands.
On his signing, Jake Webster DOR said: “Ben is a big strong thing and someone I’ve admired in the game for a long time. His carries out of back field really are Championship quality so to be able to bring that to Cougar Park for the promotion push is something I am really excited about.”
Brilliant signing for the Cougars
Our squad is coming together now .
The players that are coming in now will beef our squad up coming in at the right time for our push for promotion 💪
The squad looked great on Sunday against Oldham and improve everytime I watch them.
Well done jake Webster and Co for making things happen.
I agree with the above post100%.
