Following the conclusion of the 2024 season the club would like to thank those departing and give fans’ an explanation in to why some players are moving on.

Alex Bishop

Had requested a release from his 2025 contract as he felt he wasn’t able to fulfil the commitment required based on his commute from Cumbria to Keighley. 

Oscar Thomas

Following a review of the 2025 playing group, we have been unable to offer terms for 2025.

Ben Blackmore

Has decided to retire from playing rugby league while he focuses on his work outside of rugby.

Kyle Kesik

After five years at the Cougars, Kyle had requested a release from his 2025 contract which the club agreed to. Special thanks to Kyle for his dedication over the years to Keighley.

Will Maher

After 10 years in the professional game, Will has elected to retire from Rugby League having secured a job at a school in Castleford.

Charlie Graham

After spending the majority of the year on loan at Halifax, Charlie has secured himself a Championship deal for 2025.

Ellis Robson

Ellis’ contract for 2025 was dependant on Championship Rugby League and following a review of the 2025 playing budget, we are unable to offer revised terms to Ellis.

Mitch Revell

Will return to Villeneuve in France and continue his career in the French Elite leagues with a view to returning to Australia in the future.

The club will be in a position to announce new arrivals shortly and we would like to thank all the players’ for their time and service to the Cougars.
