Emmanuel Waine

Papua New Guinea international centre and second-row Emmanuel Waine joins the Keighley Cougars on loan from Oldham RLFC.

The 29 year old spent 3 seasons with the PNG Hunters in the Queensland Cup before making the move over the England to join the London Broncos for the 2023 season. London went on to win the Championship that year, with Waine joining them in the Super League. In 2025 he joined the Bradford Bulls, where he spent time on loan at Hunslet, London, Batley Bulldogs and Super League side Salford Red Devils. Before joining Oldham for the 2026 season. 

He was part of the Papua New Guinea squad for the 2022 Rugby League World Cup held in England. He featured in two games, including starting in the 36-0 win over Wales.

Sam Littler

Keighley Cougars secure another loanee from Oldham with teenage back row forward joining up with Ian Hardman’s squad at Cougar Park. 

Younger brother of Fleetwood Town footballer Zack Littler, Sam is a product of Salford Red Devils Academy, catching their attention after captaining Kirkham Grammar School’s rugby union side. 

Sam joined Oldham in ahead of the 2026 season after the liquidation of Salford Red Devils, he had already spent time in 2024 training with Oldham.
