Keighley Cougars are pleased to confirm the club’s backroom and performance staff for the upcoming 2026 Championship campaign.

Danny Burton continues in his role as Assistant Coach, bringing his energy and attention to detail to another campaign under Head Coach Alan Kilshaw.

Also returning is Adam Mitchell, who will continue to lead the club’s Performance Department as Head of Performance, ensuring the squad is physically prepared for the demands of the season ahead.

Craig McDowell has rejoined the Cougars in a hybrid role as Football Manager and Assistant Coach, adding experience and leadership across both football operations and coaching delivery.

Harry Curtis, who joined midway through last season as Club Analyst, will remain with the team for 2026, continuing to provide high-quality performance analysis and insight to support players and coaches.

Heading up the Medical Department will be Amy Southam, who has progressed into the role of Lead Physiotherapist following excellent work within the medical team last season.

Speaking on the appointments, Head Coach Alan Kilshaw said:

We’ve got a blend of continuity and fresh energy, which is exactly what we wanted going into pre-season. Every one of them plays a crucial part in creating the standards and environment that help our players perform and develop.”

The Cougars’ full staff came together last week as the clubs pre season kicked off on Monday 3rd of November with the club anticipating playing there first league game in mid January.
