We head into this weekend’s game against Midlands Hurricanes in good shape, with a fit and healthy squad ready to go. The boys have trained well this week, and there’s a strong focus on building on the consistency we’ve shown recently.
Midlands will provide a real test. They’ve only picked up one win from their last five outings, but that makes them even more dangerous — they’ll be desperate to turn that form around. They’re still chasing a top-four finish and, having lost some ground recently, they’ll see this fixture as a chance to close the gap. We know they’ll come here hungry and motivated.
For us, it’s simple: every two points in this competition are vital. The table is tight, and we can’t afford to let opportunities slip. We’ll need to be sharp, disciplined, and ready to match the Hurricanes’ intensity from the first whistle.
I also want to be honest about our away form — it hasn’t been good enough. The supporters who travel the miles, take time out of their weekends, and pay their admission fees deserve better from us. We owe them a performance on the road, and the players are determined to deliver that this weekend.
We’re looking forward to the challenge, and as always, we appreciate the fantastic support we receive wherever we play. Hopefully we can repay that faith with a strong performance.
Enjoyed reading the comments made I’ll be keeping a eye on the scores this weekend I don’t travel these days good luck cougars
